How to share product links from an Instagram post

When someone asks where you found an item in a post, they need the exact product and useful context. A page built around that post is easier to use than a long, changing list of unlabeled store URLs.

The post earns attention. The link page should answer the product question.

01

Collect the exact products

List every item you plan to mention, the retailer destination, and the details a visitor would ask for: size, shade, model, or an alternative if the original is unavailable. Open each URL yourself on a phone before publishing.

Keep the list focused on the post. If you show one outfit, make that outfit the first collection rather than sending people to a generic store page.

02

Make a page that matches the post

Create a Sidefold shoppable post for the look or recommendation. Give the page a specific title and add the image and product links so visitors can connect each item with what they saw on Instagram.

Use labels people can scan: “linen shirt,” “black shoulder bag,” and “white trainers” are more useful than “item 1” and “shop now.” Add fit or usage notes when they affect the choice.

  • Keep the same product order as the photo or video where practical.
  • Check that each link opens the intended item, not a retailer search page.
  • Update unavailable items or mark them clearly.

03

Disclose affiliate relationships

If you may earn a commission from a product link, tell visitors clearly before they click. Sidefold shoppable posts include paid-link disclosure; make sure your own Instagram content and any retailer or program requirements are handled as well.

Do not promise a price or availability that you cannot keep current. Product pages and inventory change outside Sidefold.

04

Share a route people can follow

Put the shoppable post on your Sidefold creator page and link that page from your Instagram profile. In the Instagram post, use a short instruction that matches the destination, such as “The outfit links are on my profile page.”

Before you publish, try the route yourself: Instagram post → profile → Sidefold page → correct product. If any step makes you guess, revise the label or order.
